District Leadership Changes
There have been a few changes in District Leadership. Among them is the following;
Joe Koch has accepted the job of District Vice-Chairman at large and is no longer handling the Adult Awards. In Joe's place for the Adult Awards is Donovan Anderson. Joe has been handling the awards for decades and as such has his name on too many documents to mention - or correct. So please take note of the change. Contact information for this change as well as others is posted in the Roster on this page.
There are few additional changes that are still in process and once they are confirmed I will post them in the District Roster on this site. Posted 9/7/10
New Council Web Site
After months of work the Council has a new web site. The old site has been removed along with outdated information. Check it out! If you have comments you can Email them to the Council Webmaster. Note, there are some areas of the new site that are not yet fully functional. I'm told it may take an additional 2-3 days for everything to come on-line. Posted Sept 2, 2010
Be A Scout Website Launch
Please take the time to visit the BeAScout.org and become familiar with the site. This site will allow new parents and scouts to locate your Pack/Troop and/or Crew via the website by putting in their home address. This link has all the information that you need regarding the website and helping guide your way to making sure that local families can locate your unit when searching for a local unit near their home.

Youth Protection Requirements Change
Effective June 1, 2010 Youth Protection Training will be required for all Registered Positions.

Roundtable Changes - Updated
For the immediate future the Los Amigos Roundtable will be located at the Truslow Scout Hut (386 W. Truslow Ave, Fullerton). Parking will be available on the streets and across from the property in the fenced parking lot. Please contact Alan Lenning alenning@earthlink.net or David Lopes david.lopes@goodrich.com if you have any questions regarding Scout or Cub Roundtable. A previous announcement had mentioned that this change was from May to August, however, it appears that it will continue for a few more months. The problem is that a construction project has been delayed in starting at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the rooms we've been using are not available for a while longer. ScoutWeek Publication
If you are not taking advantage of Scoutweek, you're missing out on a good source of information.
